There are two birthdays to observe today: Hector Berlioz and César Franck, also I will get the Haydn String Quartet in today that I missed earlier this week (so much music). So to begin with:


Concerto Grosso No. 10, Op. 6 in C of Arcangelo Corelli. Robert Salter with the Guildhall String Ensemble performing.
String Quartet No. 3 in G minor Hob. III:33 from Op. 20 the "Sun Quartets" of Joseph Haydn performed by the Tatrai Quartet.
Le Chasseur maudit by Cesar Franck, Jesus Lopez-Cobos conducting the Cincinnati Symphony.
Symphony in D minor of Cesar Franck, again Jesus Lopez-Cobos and the Cincinnati Symphony.
Sleigh Ride (1887) by Frederick Delius performed by Georg Tinter and the Symphony Nova Scotia.
Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz, Sir Colin Davis conducting the Staatskapelle Dresden.
Love Scene from "Romeo & Juliet" by Hector Berlioz. Paavo Järvi and the Cincinnati Symphony.
Andante & Variations, Op. 46 by Robert Schumann performed by Martha Argerich & Alexandre Rabinovitch - pianos Natalia Gutmann & Mischa Maisky - cellos, Marie-Louise Neunecker - horn.
Symphony No. 6 of Carl Nielsen. Herbert Blomstedt conducting the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
Violin Sonata in A major, Op. 13 by Gabriel Fauré played by Beverly Somach - violin; Harriet Salerno - piano.
