A Little Bit of Broadway

Damn Yankees

Take one devoted fan of the Washington Senators, who would give up everything (inckuding his soul) if his beloved team could beat the New York Yankees. Well, call on the devil and he’ll show up. So Joe sells his soul -- -- and this retelling of the Faust story brings us great comedy and great music and seven Tony Award s, including best musical!

We are listening to the film version, because I can’t find the original cast recording I have or the revival cast recording. Ray Walston, Gwen Verdon and Tab Hunter star.
