A Little Bit of Broadway

Chaplin, the Musical

Charlie Chaplin, even today, is a name almost everyone knows.  His Little Tramp character is still recognizable everywhere around the world.  Chaplin, the Musical tells the story of his rags to riches to heartache life, from workhouse to vaudeville stage to films to exile.  His life certainly had lots of highs and lows!

We are listening to the 2012 musical with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis, who also wrote the book along with Thomas Meehan. It got one Tony nomination - Rob McClure received a nominationas best leading actor in a musical.

Since we are visiting film stars today, let's visit one of Clara Bow's best known character, Elinor Glyn's The It Girl.
